So moving on to the review. If you prefer hotels with an elevator for convenience there is a hotel beside this one. This cheap hotel only has stairs.
You have to walk up the stairs before you get to the front desk. Good thing the rooms are only on that floor. Checking in was quick and easy.
Checking out was easy too. There's a key deposit of MOP. You can get it back after checking out. They allow leaving the luggage there after check out if you still wish to roam around Macau.
Bathroom was okay. Beds and comforts were clean. Overall it was a good place to crash. If i were to comeback, I'd try another place but if I couldn't find cheap accommodation-I'd book here again.

Even the room is quite small which is normal for a budget hotel in Macau but it is very clean and pleasant to stay. The staffs spoke a little English but helpful.
The room is renovated in good condition with basic facilities which are enough for travellers who spend most of their time visiting the places of attractions rather than resting in the room.
Not the fanciest hotel in Macau but is definitely a worthy choice for the budget-conscious traveler. It is really near to the must-see places of the old city like Senado Square and the Ruins of St.
Paul, and has relatively good proximity to the more luxurious hotels and casino of Cotai. Holiday Inn Macau was referred to me by my friends who has a lot of nice words for Holiday Inn. I was so satisfied with my 3 days 2 nights accomodations.
The free shuttle was a plus points and I didn't have a hard time looking for the shuttle bacause of the color of the bus although the shuttle was quite small compared to the hotel giants.
It was situated near an ATM M It was situated near an ATM Machine for quick and emergency withdrawal, a convenience store for midnight snack.
Staff at the Lobby was very, very helpful and accomodating. In fact, I followed what the reception told me.
The location to the main strip of the hotel giants was not so far. You won't get lost as long as you follow the map.
I would surely recommend this hotel to anyone who's on the look out for Budget friendly and a very helpful staff combined and to backpackers who would travel to Macau for the first time.
We had a great stay here, the hotel is new. It was very clean, good facilities and staff. It is actually just a walking distance to Senado Square so if you want to stay in the center of everything then it is the best hotel for you.
Everything was convenient and perfect! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Andre from Hawaii, USA. During my 4 days trip in Macau, I had to move among 4 different hotels due to the high booking rate around the Chinese new year.
Holiday Inn overall gave me a pleasant experience. The staff in the check in counter were friendly and helpful. Very close to many attractions: casinos, shopping malls, Dancing water show etc.
Their costumers are mainly Chinese but the receptionists are well educated. The room is clean and of course, more reasonable than staying in American hotels.
But as I write above the system of internet is big problem. It seems the probelm for many Macau hotels should be imp It seems the probelm for many Macau hotels should be improved.
Since the hotel does not have a casino, its less busy than other Macau hotels, which was what we loved about this place. The reception and house-keeping staff were kind and helpful.
The room was tastefully furnished. We had the noble suite with sep We had the noble suite with separate living and bed room, the size was great, bathroom was huge with both tub and shower, and we were very comfortable.
The breakfast was included, although not a big variety was offered, but it was adequate. Overall, it was a very pleasant overnight stay.
I took a day off from Hong Kong to visit Macau. I selected this hotel because it was very close to the main Turbojet ferry terminal though not for Cotai and other ferries.
Hotel is visible from the ferry itself. There is an airconditioned elevated walkway for two thirds of the distance to the hotel - which made life easy for me since I had my suitcase.
Outstanding lo Outstanding location for this purpose. Hotel itself was very nice. Rooms and bathrooms were of adequate size and well furnished to 4 star standards and worth what I paid for it.
A few tips for Indian travellers: Many reviews say the bed is hard - but the hardness is similar to coirfoam and sleepwell mattresses which I use at home and I did not find it a problem.
Only those used to spring mattresses will find it hard. Bathroom has no hand flush or bidet system, so be prepared. If you are a vegetarian, there is absolutely nothing to eat near the hotel - be prepared to travel very far to find food.
Shops nearby there are many will sell you bread, cheese slices and butter only. Nobody speaks English and people including shopkeepers are very rude.
A few tips for family travellers: This hotel has entire floors dedicated to "services" like Sauna 18 which means "massage services" if you get my meaning and table dancing that is what it says on the lift button.
Outsiders also come. This is not a place to take children unless you want to answer some embarassing questions - and definitely not for adolescents.
The casino has mainly black jack and if you dont speak Chinese and are not a gambler, you cant understand anything at all. Rooms are full of smoke.
There is no Roulette it is there in nearby Giant sized casinos - Macau is full of casinos around every corner, full of smoke and crowd.
There are good buses nearby to go all over Macau. Great location for sight. The hotel environment is very peaceful and close to the nature, different from other hotels in macau.
Room is spacious with sea view, living area and comfortable bedFood is delicious and staffs are very help.
Especially like the traditional Portuguese structure, even though it is not as grand as luxury five star hotel.
It definitely is a peaceful, warm cozy hotel, wort It definitely is a peaceful, warm cozy hotel, worth the money I paid. Love it! It is always a pleasure to stay in the Hotel Taipa Square.
Offering, arguably, the best value accomodation in Macau and Taipa it is minutes from the best new Casinos, the Venetian and World of Dreams and stands immediately infront of the Macau Jockey club and probably its best international bar, the Sports Bar.
The rooms are good sized, clean and comfortable. It could It could do better with in-room drink making no milk or sugar and the breakfast which is a wonderful buffet should be inclusive to encourage use.
I will go there again. Best value for money as most hotels in Macau are high end and budget hotels are mostly far from the airport.
But this hotel's location is really good considering that it's right in front of the airport and very near the ferry terminal.
We can cross the road and take advantage of the free shuttles. They have an area where you can leave your luggages so you can go around They have an area where you can leave your luggages so you can go around before your flight.
Breakfast is included though it could have been a better the only downside. Staff was nice and speaks good English.
First off, the price for the room was very very reasonable, compared to most of the other hotels in Macau. I have stayed at many other hotels in the city, and this is a reasonable price.
Do not expect this to be in the top tier of hotels, which you would be paying more than double for. For the price, it will give you a very decent size and stay.
The staff was very frie The staff was very friendly. Wish they were faster with receiving the info from Agoda. Something seems to be a delay between both sides.
Didn't have a chance to try the room service or restaurants, so no comment. Macau is a small city with two distinct areas. The Macau side is more the classic section with the casino that have been known to macau.
The Cotai house many of the newer casinos, ie venetian. There is a lot of food and shopping in the Macau city side with many local restaurants serving Chinese foods that are known classics in the area.
Macau has several places to shop with high and low quality and brands. The Canal shops caters towards a mid to high level brands.
With the inclusion of the Four Seasons section, the canal shops has many many high end european brands.
The food court is also an excellent way to meet the different taste of a large group. Prices are not always the cheapest, expecially with HK just a ferry ride away.

I decided to stay with JW Marriott Macau out of many hotels in Macau is mainly because the employee here are well trained especially Iris from Front Desk!
My husband was very happy with the professional serivce JW provides. The room was really comfortable too, great view from our room , we wish we could have spent one more day there.
Another reason we wanted to stay here is because the pool is amazing! We get free access to the Galaxy water park and we realize if you are not a guest at the hotel there is additinal fee for using the waterpark.
Staff at the pool were really friendly too! Hotel President. Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Guests with free time can unwind in the sauna.
